Rory Naismith is a historian of Anglo-Saxon England with interests in coinage and monetary history. He is a lecturer in early medieval British history at King's College London, and author of The Coinage of Southern England 796-865 (London, 2011), Money and Power in Anglo-Saxon England: the Southern English Kingdoms 757-865 (Cambridge, 2012) and Medieval European Coinage, with a Catalogue of the Coins in the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge.
